On Wednesday 17th June 2015, CEDA International held a Business Plan Competition and Graduation Ceremony for 200 single mothers under the Slum Women Economic Empowerment Program-SWEEP Professor Wasswa Balunywa, Principal Makarere University Business School was the Guest of Honour Florence Luyiga had the best business plan and won $ 200 200 Single Mothers Graduate and 5 excel in the Business Plan competition On the 4th day of June 2015, single mothers gathered and conducted a community initiave in Kawempe Division single mothers cleaning the drainage system in Nabweru single mothers cleaning in Kifamba zone SWEEP ladies addressing members on how to kep their place clean and avoid illnesses Single mothers in Kimombasa zone Namulindwa Brenda’s from the Slum areas Rise to Financial Independence Zawedde Clare - from a Job Seeker to Employer under SWEEP SWEEP Beneficiaries listen to a health worker at the Family Health Day SWEEP Beneficiary engaged in a Dialogue at the Family Health Day SWEEP Beneficiaries listening to health education at the Family Health Day SWEEP Beneficiaries get medical check-up at the Family Health Day SWEEP Beneficiaries talking to a Counsellor before HIV testing at the Family Health Day SWEEP Beneficiaries receive drugs at the Family Health Day Rotary Club of Kampala-Impala supports SWEEP Beneficiaries to access social services SWEEP Beneficiaries listening to Family Planning health education at the Family Health Day SWEEP Beneficiaries receiving health care at the Family Health Day Family Health Day convention where single mothers attended on 29th April 2015 Single Mothers exhibited their products at the Family Health Day - Women convention organized by the Buganda Kingdom at Hotel Africana on the 29th April 2015 Single Mothers sensitized participants in Kawempe Division about prevention of Sexually transmitted diseases. This took place on Saturday 31st Jan 2015 in Kalule Zone SWEEP Beneficiary Nalubwama Hanifa taking the Rising Stars through a session. Three SWEEP Beneficiaries went to the Western Region and gave inspirational talks to the Rising Stars at the Holiday Camp from 14th to 17th December 2014 in Nyakasura Secondary School. Single mothers participate in the 7th Annual Mentoring Walk 2014 on the 15th day of November 2014. 20 single mothers are going to be supported to start up businesses. Rehmah Kasule the Founder and President of CEDA International was one of the two recipients of this year's Goldman Sachs & Fortune Global Women Leaders Award. Here, she was receiving her Award of "THE MOST POWERFUL WOMEN" at a Summit in Laguna Nigel, California on the 7th day of October 2014.
